Hee! Thing is, Slim, the name has to work with non-players, too. We know who Bud is, but heck, I've gotten messages and comments from people who didn't even know what a "paintball gun" was.
Jordan's suggestion of "Snip" makes me think "Snipper", and 'Lil Snipper' isn't bad, really.
Riffing on a few of the other suggestions, there's the Squeaky Cricket (obviously a gag on Noisy Cricket, but really doesn't have much to do the the actual gun) the Half-Pint Pump or just Half Pint (unfortunately "three quarter pint" doesn't roll off the tongue as smoothly) and I'm honestly surprised that 50 cal markers haven't already been called "pea shooters".

Taking from the guitar world, I always liked the decision Fender made to name their smaller scale guitar the Mustang. Even if they claim there's no connection, being named after Ford's pony car very much suited it. Riffing off that you could go with something like Javelin, GSX, Duster, Mirage, Gremlin.... maybe Echo?Comment
