I mean, they probably realized there are some unhappy campers that took a chance on them the first time and got burned. They even named it the Phoenix. I’d be upset if I bought a bad one and they rereleased it without making things right, and it’s the same gun with “this one will actually work, we’re even testing it this time!” Disabling comments is probably a smart move.

I hope they’re planning on giving prototypes for people to test in the blazing heat, blazing humidity, and frigid tundras, prior to release.

I was too young and broke when these first came around, thank god, but if they’ve solved all the issues that plagued the original generation I’d be willing to take a chance on one.

Thanks for sharing. Not sure about the comments. I know they can devolve into a pretty unproductive back and forth, but it does seem a little heavy handed to have them disabled. That feels like something that happens when controversial manufacturers return so that the viewers are focused more on what's new vs. what's already gone down.

Why do they keep disabling comments it seems strange to me.

I will be at EMR's Halo Event September 8-10 and I will have a Thumper/Phoenix with me. Anyone from MCB that would like to borrow it and take it for a spin is welcome to. Come find me...I'm usually not hard to find lol

Fully agreed. I've got not horse in this race, but I personally won't buy a product from a company that had a product issue they never reconciled on a flagship item. Spending energy on new customers when there are disappointed old ones just doesn't jive with me.

You weren't the only one that had to create a new account on here! I had to do the same. I find it very funny they have you listed as a Newbie! They should have you updated to "Legend". Seeing you come "out of retirement" had be rethink my own. Especially after Montydoom's passing. I told Serenity and Krazy 8 about you playing at EMR and they said that unfortunately they will actually be playing in Europe at a game there around the same time. ML/R Ghostduck

I haven't watched the video, and was an early preorder for a pair of thumpers. one worked out of the box, the other just needed to be turned down (velocity was adjusted too high to function from the assembly). sold both quickly while still functioning due to valve complaints from others and the size of the breach (oversized receiver with small paint sucked). I wouldn't be opposed to buying a more thought out & tested product. I agree with previous posters that while their launchers are practically an industry standard, possibly doing a short run of their revised design and allow them to be field tested with option to buy on-site may improve their image. if successful, do a full run & use some of the proceeds to make right what went wrong on the previous versions

I can go both ways. Kinda depends on what style of paintball I'm playing.
Speed ball, 100% rock and cock
Woods ball, I prefer spring feeds

I don't know. I was one of the original pre orders and loved the concept, but the actual marker was terrible and they never really made it right with those of us that bought them. I might be willing to give them another chance, but I definitely wouldn't be pre ordering this time.

My only issue was chopping paint. I loved the operation.

I like the idea of spring feeds more then I actually like using spring feeds. Give me a good old rock and cock. I do like the idea of a spider style mount tho. It would make switching between stock and open super easy it’s also cheaper to machine. Then you can let the customer decide how they want to customize it. I think an AR style grip frame would be a good move too. I have a Havoc launcher with a Phantom 45 and bottom line kit on it. I like the AR style grip mounts makes for convenient customization and options. + they could keep the cost down by buying grips in bulk or low cost grip options to keep the cost down.

I think a thumper with a phantom spring PHeed would be pretty sick ngl.
