Looks like a fun gimmick, but first-pull full-auto has to be an insurance problem for fields.

It’s more like RT for a EMek so it’s not like it will go Full auto run away if someone drops it and the trigger gets depressed.

It is a fun gimmick. I picked one up during the second pre-order from PB Gateway. Just for shits. It was like $35. Slapped it in my Gmek, and it'll do 8-11bps. Somewhere in there. Not crazy fast, but fun. If the field will let me, I might slap it in and let a newbie rental use it for a few games. Those kids would get a kick out of it.

But otherwise, I'm just going to stick with the Hair valve in semi.

Why? Automag RT has basically had that ability since the 90s at way higher ROFs than something like this.

You think some insurance adjuster is going to come out to a field to check everyone's personal markers and see if anyone is running full auto without a 3 shot safety?

The 3 shot safety was something the manufacturers innovated, nothing to do with anyone's requirements

Is this thing an RT? Every time I see it sold, they just say "hold for full auto," but they also act like it's semi. I haven't seen it actually explained by someone who didn't have their brain rotted by marketing-speak yet.

No insurance company is ever going to check customers' markers for anything. You could probably go a few years with a "masks optional" sign on your field without insurance companies noticing. Insurance companies only look at you when you start your policy and when there is an incident. When there is an incident though, they look at everything. I've dealt with field insurance before and things like semi-only outside of speed-ball is something that, at least with Cossio, they actually did car about. They want negligent discharges to be single-shot and when noobs run around a corner and panic shoot eachother, they don't want that to happen in full-auto because it increases the chance of a mask failure or other accident that will generate legal expenses. At least that's what the insurance people believe.

3-shot safety was a requirement of the NXL/PSP the first year (2007 I believe) where 15 bps full-auto was first used (before 3 round burst took over). It was purely for safety reasons. Mostly to prevent a runaway gun from a stuck trigger, but also to keep ND's single shot.

From the videos I've seen on it, it doesn't use trigger bounce like an Automag RT does. It's full auto for as long as you keep the trigger held down. On one hand, I think it's cool as hell. On the other hand, this mod makes it way too easy to break nearly every DBAD rule in the book since it requires tight trigger discipline to not constantly overshoot someone. This would do well in situations when you're shooting mech against electros. I doubt I'd ever use something like this in a mixed group.

If I were to guess, probably nothing. It requires the user to hold the trigger down to activate the full auto effect. An electro would activate the solenoid only long enough to cycle it once per shot.

Not like I have one but I imagine nothing. The dwell is too short for each shot to fire more than one ball

Glen from PBGateway has confirmed that this HK part is a licensed version of their Hellfire valve and that he makes both versions.

How many different versions of stuff do we have/ were made for cockers?

3 ways, lprs, bolts, valves, frames etc

Much of it more similar than different but I'm still a fan of companies making stuff. The more options there are, even if they are basically the same, the easier it is for these companies to then move on to parts B C and D and us as the consumers have more options. With enough options companies have to be competitive with their price so we don't see radically inflated prices either

HK Army making a version of this is a smart decision. It allows local stores to carry them. Course that's at odds with the fact that most fields won't allow its use. But that's a different discussion.

I mean let's be honest how many different fire modes were actually allowed at their time of conception?

This will work on any mechanical Gamma Core marker, so yes it will work with the Gmek.

DeadlyWinds's v2 hAir valve that they recently released comes in a version that fits the Gmek.

I have one. It works in my Gmek. That's the only PE marker I have at the moment.

And yeah, I also have the new Hair valve. It's so sick.

7-10 bps for the reactive function isn't exactly mind boggling firepower. I have physically witnessed a team mates Automag pull triple that over a big red Chrono.

It's hard to outshoot a Revy at those rates.

This is NOT a revisiting of the the arms race of the early 2000s. Not by a sight

The real question is whether it will be permitted by field owners for casual walk-on play.
Or, heck, INSTALLED by field owners in rental guns.

In order to benefit from " increased paint sales" would you need a fleet of faster hoppers? Is the PE PAL capable of feeding that level of RT?

coyote it's not RT. It doesn't affect the trigger. No idea about PALS keeping up, but a Primo should do well, and Revies for sure.

What? Of course it is. Hk/hellfire release this at 7-10. Next month cp releases something that will do 12, which one do the leet hormisis crowd want?

Then super Nova releases one that does 15

It's the same race just on mechanicals this time.
