    Umarex T4E TC 68 - full-auto AR-style, FSR-capable rifle.

    https://www.umarex.com/products/prod...s/2.4067X.html

No word on the internal workings but all of Umarex's .68 caliber stuff up this point has been some variation on a blow-forward.
Default power source is an 88gram CO2 cartridge but adapters for dual 12 grams and HPA tanks are available.
Similar to a TMC it has the capacity to be switched to feed from a traditional hopper elbow on the right side of the gun by use of a dummy magazine.
Velocity is actually adjustable this time, apparently via a regulator at the rear of the gun, but the adjustment tool is built into the onboard removable cover, which may be an issue.
Barrel is actually removable this time too, and is autococker-threaded.
Gun and magazine are capable of loading what Umarex calls "precision balls" which resemble FSR shaped projectiles but might not be.
Magazine appears to be propriertary and has an advertised 20 round capacity.

A cursory glance at the manual does indeed make it look like it's blow-forward, but there's no easy way to clean this thing in the inevitable event of a chamber break. Looks like the whole shebang would have to be split apart and reassembled.
Someone with more time ought to see what can be gleaned from the schematic : https://www.umarex.com/download/manu...ctions_web.pdf

Interesting. I don't understand the full auto love, especially with the cleaning complications like you mentioned.

I'm REALLY curious to see what the rate of fire is, too.
The double-barreled Umarex shotgun is actually a blow-forward semi-auto with a surprisingly slow recharge rate, so it will be interesting to see if there's some dumb-chamber-related limitations built into this thing to limit that.

Is this being sold / Marketed as for paintball or, less lethal uses?

That dual purpose speaks to the features that aren't relevant to paintball.

I have such a love hate relationship with umarex

I love that they are trying new stuff, really do

But man, I feel like if they just took the paintball world more seriously and didn't try to reinvent the wheel every time they came out with something they could be so much better

That pump shotgun, I really like the way it looks and even though I haven't held one it looks like a lot of fun to rack and play with. Needing tools to reload and other tools to change CO2 though? Deal killer

The double barrel shotgun, I've held, was not impressed. The break point is way too far forward and it just felt cheap and flimsy in my hands

This thing, 88g CO2 are you serious? Let's say it gets 20 shots off of a single 12g co2. I think that's probably more than it will but whatever, that math then works out to 7 and a little extra magazines off of a 88g. At roughly $12 each online. that's a lot. Probably depends on the round ball you buy but I bet you are spending more on CO2 than paint.

Why do they have to design a super cool electric car, that's efficient, cheap and everyone likes the concept of when they see the exterior photos of. But then put only one seat in it and use a cinder block as a steering wheel?

Well here in Europe depend on the Country it must be marked, sold as an "Paintball Marker" to not fall under a traditional Gun regulation.

Lett me say I see the Umarex Products only for self defence but for legal reason it must be marked as an "Toy". And yes maybe there are some People who use them for Paintball (to).
I ask my self should I buy them to? For me it seam to be a game changer. Ammo Card rich who I can store the different Ammo Types. Use my big Co2 one to. When Single Round the intruder not convinced to retrieve I would say a burst of Chalk give them a good hint that the next will be not "that" less lethal as before.

As someone who is only interested in Umarex's products as paintball toys, I wouldn't have a lot of confidence in these things to protect myself or my family, especially when I've had one of these things snap in twain on me (Umarex replaced it).

I don't know how readily available something like a baseball bat is in Europe, but wouldn't it be cheaper AND more effective to just keep something like an axe or even a sturdy stick on hand?

This thing is meant to be used with a horizontally mounted CO2 cartridge right behind the bolt system. Isn't this just guaranteed to run off of liquid CO2? I've got a feeling that if anyone uses this for actual paintball and shoots more than a few rounds, they're going to have lots of frozen up o-rings and wild velocity fluctuations.

I think it's designed to run on liquid on purpose. Most of Umarex's other blowforward guns, my HDS included, position their 12gram cartridges up-side down to intentionally feed liquid.

I'm curious how that can then turn around and use HPA. And how did they make a regulator that's intended to handle liquid CO2? IF they figured it out, that's kinda cool.

They're simultaneously always reinventing the wheel while being firmly stuck in the past, and completely compromised by their focus on lesslethal gear.

They are the only company making revolvers, pistols, ARs, shotguns etc. for paintball - but every product they've ever made is utter shite from pretty much every perspective other than looks.

At least that's the net impression I get from seeing reviews of their various products throughout the years.

My theory is that Umarex exists for less than lethal and home defense in countries without firearms. I would trust a baseball bat 10x versus an Umarex though. Aside from cracking a beer and plinking in the yard they’re basically useless to me.
