My highschool teacher had us read the legend of Beowulf. I picked Grendel from that for my first email address on hotmail, but it was taken so I tried Grendal and then added the 50 when that didn't work. I've used it as my username for almost everything since.

I used this Username (blitz121) back in the old MSN chat days and it just stuck. I just thought blitz was kind of a cool name in middle\high school. nothing really special there.

I was playing Tom Clancy's Rainbow six online , everyone had clan tags in their name and I had no idea what I was doing. I met some random player and we decided we would make our own clan.
Mind you this is back before clan names were displayed next to a players name, so we became matrixagent~~~#%$# and matrixagent #$%&^ or whatever characters we used...because we were the matrixagent clan. I never played that game a whole lot longer and have no idea what became of that player.

Anyhow, I misspelled matrixagent, and I realized I'd just created a unique username that almost nobody would use on purpose. It's been me ever since.

Before stealing my first three character screen name “vpX,” (the last one being officially registered in ‘99, duh) I used the screen name “Preschool Riots.” When other members of aforementioned chat wanted to address me, likely to ask how many MySpace’s I ganked that day, they’d call me “Riot.” It’s been my internet handle ever since.. from jeep clubs to porn hubs, it’s ya boy riot.

I really wish I had a good story for mine, but I don't. Back in the rec.sport.paintball newsgroup days I wanted to post, but also wanted a nickname. Most did. Few used their real names, some did, but only a few. Where and how I came up with painthappy, I'm not sure. The great thing always was, it was never taken... anywhere! It was mine at any place, so I just kept it. Of course if you search it now-a-days (and I just did) a lot of "painting" place come up. Those are new, I'm the OG.
