Ya know the Adam Sandler movie big daddy? The kid has a toy scuba diver named 'scuba steve" well that was taken on a fishing forum so I joined years ago but oddly enough my name wasn't taken so I went with that and just kept it across multiple forums

Sherwood was the paintball park I went to in my middle school teen years, it was the best. Ghost because it closed shortly after I stopped going, maybe a year after. I feel like I'm the only one still talking about that place, making me the ghost of my favorite place I consider the best.
Why was it the best?
At the time 2004 - 2006 paintball seemed to be good in my area. Everyone excited about their markers, you'd see a mix of markers. Invert mini's, smart parts ion's, Tippman was at its peek with mods, spyder pilots, sometimes angels. I was poor boy with a walmart brass eagle raider package and a flame Co2 tank, it sounded like a canon but shot straight as an arrow.
Sherwood was a great place to play mainly woods ball and a hyperball/woods ball. Awesome place because they did simple things like check FPS every round and split teams with even number of mech/electronic players. It always felt fair and ramping/autos was not allowed. Unspoken rule was you could ramp between electric players. lastly no bunkering people or bonus balling ( could get banned for that). They cared about the people who were new or wanted to have fun. Not like the spraying and praying of today. One of the best games we played was sniper wars. It was about marksmanship, sneaking around and patients. You had to play longball, at least two bunkers far and count three seconds between shot. Other fields had a bad reputation of bad apple players and refs. Most all the games had one respon, so you wouldn't just be sitting out if you got out early. Really cool place
Sherwood also had a beautiful X-ball field, thee best I have ever seen and unique. Their field had a bark surface and all the inflatables stayed really clean. Something weird about it was availability. You had to rent it (considering how nice and clean it was) but I often saw or heard people playing without the rental fee. I guess you had to be friends with the owner/refs and have a 5 man group or be able to sub in. Sounded political and my brass eagle raider wasn't a good option for it anyways.

Back in my late youth, I joined a fraternal order. The greek letters Rho and Xi represent the chapter I helped found. But honestly, I've always dug how these letters have ment relatively nothing to the general population and therfore, stuck with it. My old PBN name was TrayEater but that was long, long ago, and another story...
