I bought that years ago with every intention on playing it. Then when they announced the second season of the show i said I'd play it before then.... never did. I really liked the first one, maybe one of these days I'll get around to it. -
I just borrowed from a friend definitely worth a play through but I have opinions. No spoilers haha

AoE 2 HD is always a good time. My cousin play that every now and then, when he has time.
I just "finished" the Oblivion Remaster (all guilds, DLCs, and the main quest). One of the best remasters ever made.Comment

I used to have a solid group of friends that would get together and play. all rookies, none of us knew how to actually play and balance eco. games could last up to 4 hours. Then one day one of our guys decided to militia rush an opponent for a laugh and he ended up ruining that players game. After that a few of us started getting good enough that it killed the fun for everybody else. game time went down to about 45 minutes. After that, most of the guys couldnt keep up. No more group age for us.

My two recents are complete opposites but both are great.
Cube 2: Sauerbraten. One of the boomerist boomershooters of all time and a total blast. Great soundtrack too.
Also picked up Kingdom Come Deliverance on sale for 6 bucks. Easily one of the most beautiful games I've played in a long time and great story telling. It's so good that I'm finally looking into a new PC build so I can play the sequel. The ol' GTX970 is struggling a bit.Comment

I have such a huge backlog. What video card are you looking at? I saw the 5070’s and 5080’s came back down, probably because the Supers are dropping* soon(ish).Last edited by the_matrix_guy; 09-08-2025, 03:34 PM. -
I haven't looked into GPUs yet but I'll probably stick with Nvidia just because my 970 has performed way better than I expected for the last 10 1/2 years. I didn't know they were up to the 5000 series now lol.
Right now I'm deciding on a CPU. I'm curious about AMD but my gut wants to stick with Intel.

Borderlands 4 drops in a day or two. So stoked I pre-ordered... I'm still chasing the high from the General Knoxx DLC (though it did need fast travel in a bad way...)Comment

Played Age of Empires III again for the first time in years.
Still fun.Check out my YouTube channel for overview videos of the WGP Karnivor and WGP Orracle!

I couldn't agree more. Kingdome Come Deliverance and the sequel are two of the best games I have ever played. If you didn't get all the storyline DLCs for Kingdome Come Deliverance, I highly recommend that you get them.
I built my current gaming rig for the sole purpose of playing the sequel of Kingdome Come Deliverance. Money well spent. Oh, and the two storyline DLCs that have dropped so far have been very good, so I highly recommend them as well.Comment

Started playing Just Cause 3 a couple of days ago. I’ve barely done anything but so far i like it. The grappling hook/wench can be a little janky but it’s not game breaking. My brother has always raved about the series but i never got around to playing one until now.Comment

Put HD2 on pause for Diablo 4 (free w/ ps+ recently). Not a fan of it. Gear mods/upgrades are unnecessarily convoluted, no more build-specific armor sets like D3, the theme is too edgelord (even for the franchise), there's even more grinding for keys/items/resources (if you can believe it), and season challenges are complicated. And don't get me started on inflated season pass prices.
But HD2 just got a new patch, so going back to that. At some point, gotta boot up the modern console port for Chrono Cross, since I never had an opportunity to play when it first released.Comment

Rocking it old school right now. Just finished dc league of heroes on the ps2 and now I'm on XIII. Tough game to play on a modern tv, it's very pixelated even when running it through an upscaler.Comment

if you like tinkering and hours of pain and are pretty good at soldering then i definitely recommend the retrogem mod chip. I put one in my n64 and it's fantastic. no more blurry text and nausea. I want to do a ps2 or gamecube next. Also, don't bother spending the extra money for the 1440p version. a lot of tv's won't support it anyway so just stick with the 1080p.
