Lost 2nd gear in the Allroad in the way to work yesterday after 290k over boosted miles. So I picked up this Q5 to replace it today. First road trip in her is tomorrow for Slims. Lots more room in this one for car camping, than my Allroad. When I recover some play money I’m going to drop it on some KW3 coilovers.Attached FilesComment

i did a thing.
its not as good as a miata. certainly faster though.
the plan is to build it into a replacement for my white car, basically an ice racer.
it came with full porsche GT3 suspension, and the third radiator on the GT3s, so its mostly there. needs an LSD, trailer hitch, and studs.Comment

996s are highly underrated. My brother has a Millenium edition 996 that he got for hilariously cheap. -
yeah, the 99s in particular dont have any of the issues the 996 is dreaded for. just the headlights. which i think if most 997 fanbois (myself included) were honest, its mostly the headlights.
that being side, the longer ive owned it, the more i like it. its a bit of a compromise car, like on the sports car side of the middle of the compromise spectrum.
needs an LSD badly though.
