Got the SLPS valve spring installed
as well as the inception ASA- threw an empty bottle on to see how it feels and it feels real nice
once I get the wiring harness and macro line I can test this guy for leaks!

Myrkul hooked me up with a valve seal!! Going in tomorrow morning. New wiring harness got soldered to the solenoid at work today- but noticed I might've made more work for myself. I'm gonna have to punch out the pins holding the micro switch to the frame- aside from that it should be pretty straight forward!1 PhotoComment

What a morning my dudes. The repair saga continues- installing a new wiring harness was tougher than I anticipated - soldered to the solenoid first which probably should be saved for last because I had to have the solenoid close by. Luckily I had dowels that fit the microswitch pins - I was able to pop them out! Finally got everything together - no solenoid noise unfortunately but the new LED looked awesome. And then when I was trying to finagle it he 9v in I damaged the on/off switch so I'm gonna have to solder the old on/off back in.
decided to treat myself by throwing on the reg and macroline! It's coming around! It's looking gooood5 PhotosComment

Great build so far, that's a nice shooter. The Parker solenoids are quiet, but you should definitely hear them... if no clicking sounds are happening then it could be an issue in the solenoid valve assembly. As Myrkul has mentioned, they rarely fail, but solenoid valves don't like to sit idle for a long time, the spool valve can dry up and get stuck or sticky enough that the solenoid won't be able to move it, hence no clicking. As suggested, take it apart and lightly lube it, then see what happens. Also maybe do a quick test with a voltmeter to verify you have power to the solenoid, if you probe the connections at the solenoid you should be seeing a voltage pulse when you pull the trigger if everything is working properly... that will tell you if the issue is at the solenoid or in the board/wiring harness.👍 1Comment

Another thing you might want to try: with air, drop the whole tray and see if it will cycle manually if you push the little white button on the solenoid. I've had a few of these that were stuck but after cycling them 10-20 times with the white button started working perfectly again.Comment

Great responses thanks guys I'm sorry I let this one down for a bit. I'll check the solenoid with my voltmeter- I tried testing with the white button and some 9v power but without air so that might be what the doctor calls for next.
im considering trying to do a trayless mod- and just switch this puppy to an alias solenoid- looks pretty straight foward with the hardest part appearing to be hollowing out the grip frame for clearance.
im super stoked to get working on this project again- I love this old bushmaster😎 3Comment

Trayless all the things! Do you plan on cutting the existing tray down or making one? i&i sports appears to have alias solenoids available.
