Build away and have fun but understand it might not be as magical as you dreamed when you get done. You will be assembling a marker out of parts from various manufacturers with varying amounts of quality control and differing specifications. Due to tolerance stack up yo can build and autococker from all good quality parts that performs sub optimally then the "real fun" begins. Getting an autococker to perform well is as much an art as a science and takes an amount of knowledge and willingness to tweak and adjust even to the point of swapping out parts.
I can build a functional autococker but I'll be damn if I can reliably use a functional autococker, I am the master of short stroking. In over 34 years of paintball I have never mastered the art of shooting an autococker while playing (at the range I am fine but when playing I suck). So if you have no experience with an autococker just understand there is a learning curve.

I learned this the hard way. I spent so much money building one only to find all the super high end parts don’t work well together. You rarely see people shooting the high end stuff. Most high end cockers are wall hangers and BookFace show queens. I only play Mech in competitive formats I found myself grabbing my Emek over the high end cockers 100% of the time. So I sold off my last cocker. But I do miss my old Blue Works cocker I had that thing always shot great for me.

One thing I’d suggest is splurge on the 3-way. I really like the ID 3-ways. Very easy to tune and work well.Comment

If you’re not building a wall queen, don’t overlook the old WGP brass pneumatics. WGP made some really solid pneumatics & valves over the years. And the brass polishes up nicely.
Not as expensive as other parts & sometimes you can find a whole front block assembly for sale on it’s own. Just make sure you get the proper ones for your build. (pre-2k or 2k+) I really like the 2000-2003 brass pneus and fixed regulators. Not the prettiest or as easy to adjust, but they just work.

I have never heard of that. I'd just measure the body & buy the right one. If it's a 9/16" then I'd go with what Grendel suggested. 2k+ factory WGP valves are good. -
FBM made a lot of bodies some for themselves and a lot for others. I have never seen one that is not a 9/16 valve but given the quantity made I would not doubt some ended up 11/16 as glaman5266 said just measure and buy the correct one.

Well can't beat that. Plus it'll let you use it until you get a pretty one.
Little tip, if it has the trigger return spring in the top, remove it and toss it. The sear spring is enough to reset the trigger. All it does is increase the pull weight. -

You should buy these pneumatics. This is a stock WGP front block from a 2k4 prostock. They're really good quality and this is a great deal on them.

If you want cheap, you can try to find some Empire pneumatics from the Resurrection. You can usually find a set for ~$100, and they're really good. ANS is usually pretty cheap too, but the ram isn't great. Swap it for a WGP ram and you have a really good set. The stock WGP stuff is better than 90% of what's out there though, so don't hesitate to go there if you want to stay affordable.
If you don't care about affordability, and just want good performance, Inception is the way to go, no question. Unless you have a specific reason to go with a legacy brand, like Belsales, there's no point trying to go with anything else. I've always been disappointed with Shocktech; they're not bad, but they're not nearly as nice as Inception or some of the other, older, high end stuff.Comment

Has anyone here played with one of those dye ultralite sliders, they have really caught my attention, do they work with standard slider parts or do you need the dye specific stuff
