Ive got no dog in this race, but it reminds of an old cocker clone. Was it maybe the Dralliun or Dragunfly or something like that? It definitely reminds me of a clone though.

good on them for entering the market with a budget friendly cocker though. It’s nice seeing a marker with options for less than $1000, honestly. Especially with a nice ano for only $100 more.

That’s a great price point especially without the reg. If I didn’t buy a Meteor, I would hop on this.

It looks like they will have a single trigger option coming before Christmas according to their FB page.

Why? You can buy both, why is it not fair to compare two similar items?

The whole apples to oranges comparison. Used costs less. New costs more. Even on the exact same item. Why buy a new Empire Sniper when you can buy a used one for way less? There has to be a measure of fairness to the comparison.

Under your terms no new marker would ever be worth purchasing as you can just buy something similar used for cheap.

Cdn_Cuda - that is generally my logic when it comes to purchasing pretty much anything that I don't have to buy new, likes socks and underwear.

Name brand jeans for $5 at the local thriftstore? Absolutely. Used Empire Sniper for a fraction of new? Definitely. I lived paycheck to paycheck for a considerable portion of my life, it's hard to not be that way.

Jordan Not saying that’s wrong. I’ve bought 3 new paintball markers in over 20 years and I’ve owned over 100 markers. I only spend paintball money I make. But I’m also not going to rip a company for releasing a product that I’m never going to buy in the first place. If no one buys a new marker there are no used markers to buy for cheap later.

Nova planning on a single frame hopefully before Christmas.

They are also working on a magfed marker that will use Eclipse/Dye mags.

Simple and clever way, looks like no twist or play in the handle.

I have never once found this to be an issue, even with the early WGP sniper kits. My CCM pumps are the best, I would choose one of those over any "anti-twist" gimmick pump kit. What are people doing that prevents them from pumping the marker straight?

latches109. Maybe weird pumping posture?! I’m even a right hand pumper hand have not experience twisting.

WGP kits rode on the barrel and used it as a guide rod.

Book face link to a video of the Nova guys explaining some features that were not immediately obvious.

So dual detents, custom 3 oring bolt. Bolt pin retention is inside the bolt, not at back of bolt for clean finish, sunk rear grip frame screw, square milled pump rod prevents wobble/twisting when pumping, and space for standard spring to use at pump return at front of pump.

They mention in the video that the single trigger frames are getting milled right now. Not gonna lie these are starting to look really sweet.

A few things i noticed when looking at the pump.
          • The pull pin hole only goes deep enough to go past the detent in the bolt. It does not go totally through the bolt or back block. Meaning that a different bolt can be swapped in, but would still require the same pull pin. Not a huge deal, but im sure someone will want to know.
          • The pump guide is sealed with teflon tape not an oring and face seal like most other pump kits. Just thought it was worth noting. Guessing this allows them to index the square guide for the pump handle.
          • Trigger pull feels smooth. Frame shape overall is not my cup of tea (i did get to shoot it on the mech frame and felt fast)
          • Pump stroke was smooth.
I think this is certainly an interesting pump gun for someone to get into pump play, especially with the nova valve/lower tube.

Once again I am blown away by Nova.
I ordered one the minute they dropped on the website and then realized there were different color options I had missed upon my initial excitement. I messaged TJ/Nova on Facebook that same Friday and he told me to call Monday.

Yesterday, I gave them a call and asked if he had any other pictures handy and he had me FaceTime him to show me a few options & let me change my order with ease.

After that, I called back with one more, unrelated, question and left a voicemail. Before the end of the day TJ called me back and helped me out with the question.

Obviously, I don’t have the marker yet, but as soon as I receive it, I’ll post pictures and share my feelings on it.

Love them or hate them, in my opinion, they’re doing the exact thing paintball needed right now. Innovation, change, throwbacks, essentially, just something.

          Will update soon!

I ordered a pink one as soon as I could... Then spent an evening restoring an early set of brass pneumatic's to go on the front. Not the fastest parts, but the backwards compatibility of Autocockers mean's anything from nearly anything can be made to fit on the latest and greatest models making it the most durable platform in paintball. I'm excited!

latches109 - I most definitely do not have air or a chrono. Maybe next weekend I’ll bring it to Slim’s and fire some shots off.

Even still, I’ll have no clue how to upload a video. Ehh, maybe we can get on @ChuckLove’s paintball h channel.
