I have a good ano shop locally. If they only do raw, a) I'd be surprised and b) I'd be up for coordinating a batch of black and a batch of clear. Haven't asked prices on hard ano yet...

The way these are designed they will feel very similar to an over barrel pump. You won’t get the slow feed issues you get with stick feeds that attach to pump handles like the Carter and the DD68. They slide nicely and are smooth it’s basically a cosmetic thing.
My Carter Duck you have to rock forward (traps one ball in stack between body and slide) rock back (so it won’t put two balls in the breach and clip) pump, drop barrel and fire. You can do it quickly but it takes practice.
Stock original Duck slides don’t clip as bad but they can especially if you pump fast. The stack on a Duck slide is shorter so it’s less prone to clipping. Most people that use them modify the top so the feed can attach directly to the body like a standard phantom feed. The Nova comes like that and has addressed this issue. This will allow it to operate like a fancy over barrel handle.
I know Duck Slides have clearance issues on ASP round head body’s due to the lack of taper on the round head body to fit cocker barrel threads. I’m sure you could clearance the inside a bit to fix that problem. However Cocker barrels are larger OD as well so careful selection of cocker barrels choice will be needed. J4 one piece barrels should work.
Phantom barrels and any barrels designed for over barrel handles will work with the nova body. You might get Ano rub as it uses the barrel as a guide and it’s aluminum on aluminum.
I can confirm when I get mine. I want to try the ASP round head combo. I’m likely going to run a ASP modified phantom body to a phantom DW freak barrel and Some kind of mock suppressor (thanks gravy seals)
Any of the phantom spec frames and trigger groups will work.
You should try Lachance’s Duck Slide redsquirrel he has one modified like the new nova.

I 3D printed a duckslide and ended up really not liking it at all.
I love the aesthetic but sighting with it was very difficult. I'd be interested to know what a real one is like.

My Duckslide is my only true stock class I have left. If I am going to play stock Class this form factor is my favored especially since I had the top of the slide milled so the fee mounts directly to the Phantom body. This looks like it is standard on the Nova version.

Man, need to find a cheaper way to get Nova stuff in Canada...

I’ve never played with a duckslide. Think I’d be way more into the aesthetics and not care for the actual feel. Would probably pick one up regardless because I like Nova and am a sucker for all things Phantom.

just telling folks like how i was told.
i dont think theres going to be much changed/improvements. besides already being milled for direct feedtube/body attachment.
these were 3d scanned and measured off a body kit i sold to someone earlier last year.
i dont have any experience with the nova guys claiming folks ripped them off but if VKC or Steve Brett had a problem with these, i would let them know.

I mean, they had it on display at Fulda Gap so it's no secret.
This rubs me the wrong way. For a company that complains as much as he does about other people or companies stealing their designs, to take a product and reverse engineer it.
I sure do hope that who ever they were working with on this was someone that produced these kits, or there are Major improvements on the designs.
