Mini Rotor ?? as in dye rotor ?

Not affiliated with them at all (I swear) but wanted to recommend Overture's "Super" PLA. I usually use their PLA+ but this is just as easy to print with from initial runs and much stronger as well in quick tests for shear/impact/etc. Have an ion-threaded barrel in the works I will use this stuff for, test prints are promising. For now, I started my ~10hr journey to a mini rotor top half.

Not 3D printed nor paintball related, but close enough ... Got the top of my laptop in the laser 😁

I printed the updated version of my Automag horizontal foregrip. By the way, Thingiverse didn't update with the correct file last time, so be sure to download the latest version if you want it. The model up now is the correct one. This version has absolutely no side to side or up and down play. Tolerances are right on the money.

Thankfully this one doesn't droop. Rather the tolerances in front of the rail allowed for the *slightest* bit of side to side play. Personally, I would probably be fine leaving it alone, but if others are going to start making them for their own Mags, then I wanted it to be perfect. Then again, perfectionist that I am, I probably would have ended up tweaking it anyway.

I made one out of wood once. It was lumpy.

They indeed do look odd if they droop at all.

If you're intending on printing one out for yourself, I think I'm going to make one small tweak to improve tolerances a bit. It's pretty stable right now with only the slightest amount of side to side play (way less than a pump kit), but I think I can make it rock solid with one small change. The new file is up now labeled V2 in the filename.

There's one on Thingiverse for a Cat, but I've never seen one for a Mag. But you're right. It is kinda surprising.

Happy to help. Honestly, I'm surprised it's taken this long for a horizontal foregrip to come out for the Automag. If one existed before, I've never seen one.

No problem. I posted it to Thingiverse here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6338271

I would be forever grateful if you shared the file. 😁

Ion XE blade trigger printed with Overture PLA+ @ .2mm layer height with a .4mm nozzle. Might re-do with regular PLA, as I understand that it would be stiffer and bend less. But as is, it's very usable with a mech conversion and I don't see it breaking any time soon.

    (not my file)
