Check out plaster annealing, it does great stuff for PLA's temperature resistance.

One of the comments said to use fine salt instead. It packs nice and leaves a good texture on your parts. I plan on doing this very soon.

Fantastic! Can I recommend a version adding a "leg" up the front of the trigger guard for those that don't use a Vert adapter?
Having the dual rod mount attached to the trigger guard also would make it Sooooo much easier to reassemble the marker

Wanted something a little different than the standard straight tubes. Have to tweak things to fit a bit better, but seems to be very strong in PLA.

I printed this and it worked out okay, a little bit of issues with some sag/strings on the inside top of the tube, but it looks pretty cool. Need to make an adapter to get it onto the airrowgun

Designed a kind of mounting block thing for the head unit of my mobile radio, to mount it to the inside of the windshield above the mirror. The fun part with this one was getting the compound angles right. Then just lofted one sketch to the other.

Wellll, just to clarify, this is just the front panel (or is it called the head unit? i dont know the right term). The main body of the radio is mounted back in the trunk.

the bracket for the terminal blocks/pcba is custom and mount on the BLT spot. The pcba itself is a home made job too

It's definitely a useful tool. There are tons of paintball related models on sites like Thingiverse. If you're comfortable with 3D modeling in CAD, making your own designs makes it even more practical. There are things you can do with a printed object that would be extremely difficult or even impossible using more traditional processes. Better yet, I can create pretty much whatever pops into my head without investing in expensive machinery and rapid prototype designs without investing a lot of time or wasting more expensive materials. Plastic isn't as sturdy or attractive as more traditional materials, but it has its places.

Alexndl I started one back when I first started my PGP project, but it quickly morphed into the solution you see here. In the end, I realized that trying to copy the original PGP2 speed feed design resulted in the same issues I've always had with it in the first place. The design I came up with is much sturdier and feeds better than the original ever did.

I designed & printed a replacement front feed cap for the PMI-1 my secret Santa sent me. I sanded it to 600 grit to remove the layer stepping. You'd have to look real close now to see that it's even 3D printed.
