So you want to build a Mechanical Ion?

I tried one with the coveted L6 bolt and it ran great. I have another bolt that I'm not sure what it is, but its a black dual tail and weighs less than the L6. I now have the BOB setup so I can easily get some data on 4 different types of dual tail bolts that I have -
There is a second set screw that you can't see but it keeps it from moving2 Photos -
It has been done. The SSC bracket just kinda wedges itself in the trigger frame with screws. Like a friction fit. I personally used the SSC mount and drilled holes and screwed it to the frame for my custom dye trigger frame -
Is there a way if one were to fabricate a bracket to hold it in an SP-1 would this work for that too? It pretty much is the same parts inside just in a mil-sim frame.Leave a comment:

It was almost $4 for my 6 bolts to ship to him. Add that to the $5/bolt and 3+ shipping... It was worth it! I can see that it might not be on a single bolt, though. -
Just got back $30 worth of converted bolts from SSC. Updating the main post with my video and how it works.

Dam ... I wish I had all this before letting my ions go ... I would have probably kept one ...
I do have a spare bolt (single o-ring). I may add the groove on the lathe and let it go if someone is interested ...
what is the tail o-ring size?Leave a comment:
