Unbeknownst to me, it already has an FSR-ready breech block with dual detents. Sweet. And judging by that photo, one of my FSRs broke in shipping. Not sweet.

I traded the stock TiPx barrel with the one off the leftmost A-5 in my previous post. The plan is to get a longer rifled one later.
    Late '80s PGP, late '90s Spyder, two A-5s, a 98 Custom, and a TiPX.

ID:	514480 Made a few more adjustments on this fun shooter by enlarging the opening in the front shroud to accommodate some different barrels. Think it’s finally finished to where I like the setup.

Like the new barrel, just wondering is there a benefit to running a gas thru grip?

No benefit for the gas through but to use as a handle. Could put a regulator on there if you wanted to tune it to your liking I suppose. I just like the looks of it in a nut shell.

My a5 egrip, mp5 build. Flatline and 4" snubnose barrel. Every single part you can find and slap on an a5 it has. Even skull pushpins. The model 98 has a green metallic paintjob, 18" apex2 barrel, bt bipod, all super refurbed internals, expansion chamber, car stock.

I got it like that off ebay. It was cheap so i figured if i had to i could repaint it, but its held up nice actually. I wish i knew what the guy used. Its smooth finish with a little gloss, maybe clearcoat too.

Wish I could take credit but this was a duracoat job by Conlee Custom Camo probably close to 20 years ago. Marker is long gone by now but was always one of my favorites.

Originally I wanted to paint this in VM tiger stripe but that ended up being outside of the timeline (and likely skill level) I was working with. The body has been drilled for modern side tapped power tubes. Internally it has a Shocktech bolt and Deadlywinds RVA/stock adapter. Ideally I'd like to get a short, tighter bore barrel so the RVA doesn't need to be so far in (I have serious doubts that most Tippmanns are able to make 280 out of the box with modern paint).

Lapco makes some nice short barrel for Tippmanns in smaller bores. You could try throwing a weaker valve spring in the CVX valve to help it out too, that's what I do on mine and it's noticeable.

Myrkul yeah I know, I just don't really want to pay Lapco money on a barrel.

Glad to see other people using the carbine plug trick. Both my 98s use it.

Keep it as is if it's working well. I personally would've used an HPR instead of a LP tank, but I guess that extra volume helps. You've basically done homebrew everything that comes with the factory LP kit. The only things you're missing is the LP pin and I'm pretty sure the valve seat had a larger ID on the LP kit.
