Hello Doc, just wanted to follow up with you. Are we still able to place an order for one of these?

No worries AM! Didn't mean to make you wait, just had a lot of end-of-the-year chores to do. One of those big benefits of being self-employed that the books don't tell ya about.
One of those chores is I'm switching over to a new PC- the previous one was working great, but pushing seven years old. For once in my life, I wanted to swap to a fresh one before the old one exploded. I am, however, at the moment, without email; we're having some issue, likely brought on by my stupidity of such things, with passwords and/or server configurations. I'm hoping to get my guru to come by later today (Sunday) and it should, I hope, be a quick fix.
No worries, I still have full access to all my old inboxes, the old PC works fine. I just can't yet send or receive from the new one.
And yes, I still have the blanks and the one partially-finished one, and all the previous agreements are still in place. I wanted to wait 'til after the first of the year anyway, before any funds changed hands, simply for minor tax reasons.
Give me another day or two, and I should be back up to full speed. Thanks for your patience!

Okay ladies and gents. I plan to start making chips on these this weekend, with a hoped-for finish date of four to six weeks.
We are NOT limited to just the four blanks I already have. The prices are the same if I have to start from scratch, and I have enough material on hand for several more.
I think I've contacted everyone that expressed interest, and if you would, please use doc (at) docsmachine.com for further contact. (I don't always have time to check my various PMs as often as I might like.)
Thank you!

I promised you chips, and chips you'll get.
As I'm making a couple extra now, I need to buzz some raw bar down to the VT profile. Start with this...
Do a LOT of this...
End the day with this.
It'd sure be nice to slap that puppy in a CNC, press the start button and then go have a sandwich and a nap, but my little shop isn't quite that high tech yet.

Continuing on, had some local client work take up a good chunk of the day- thankfully I have a second mill - but I still got a good chunk of the roughing done.
I have some work I need to do over the next few days, so it'll be a bit before the next update. Stand by!
Doc.

Like eating an elephant, just gotta take it a little at a time.
Getting close to the end of the 'roughing'; buzzed the bulk of the sides down...
Then another .200" off the top...
And that just about does it.
I have some new tools coming on on Thursday, new and sharp so I can (hopefully) hit the dimensions on the spot, and will make doing the angled features a little easier too.
With a little luck and minimal interference, hopefully I can have the new blanks fully profiled by the weekend.
