That’s wild you are at 275psi. I am a 100psi lower, something seems off, we tuned 3 this last weekend and all were at a similar pressure. What if you bump to a medium spring? What’s the pressure? The lower the pressure the more those mods will make a difference.

Why is everything in paintball so weird?
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

I think it’s the gorilla marketing effect. Small,
limited releases based on hype and fear of missing out. Look at the SuperDead clear masks that are all over Facebook. Hype, hype and more hype.

ok, so what are you guys finding on them as far as stock vs upgrades/replacements?

          Considering:

Lazarus valve or Nova's balance valve

anything else I should consider? stock bolt vs replacement?

nova's valve is for 9/16 bodies and will not work on these.
personally i would run it stock and see what you like. They shoot well out of the box.

I don't think it really needs any changes other than maybe a slight change in springs. Ran mine for the first time this weekend. didn't tune it at all just set it to around 250 psi and adjusted until it shot about 270 fps. Other than the farting on the valve, shot great. If you wanna maximize probably always things you can do but pretty happy with just the out of box experience.

The biggest advantage seems to come from a 3 oring bolt. Experiment with springs and that's about it.

How have people found dropping a Dye valves into these? My valve retention plug needs adjusting (filing) as it doesn’t sit flush with the body and creates issues with my frame.

Also, are people using the stock Metoer hammer with Dye valve? Any issues? Some said you need a flush hammer on the Laz valve.

          Update to my own questions:

Appear to have the Meteor set up now, need a little fine tuning and some more air. But I have no trouble using the stock Meteor valve. Was shooting 280 with the IVG about 2 turns in.

I just filed the valve retention nut down a bit so it sits flush with the body. Took a little off both ends.

Well after messaging with latches109 some. I decided to grab my other meteor pump and cut the guide rod in half.
Installing this is a bit more of a pain, but not to difficult. I was able to drop this to 220psi at 291 fps, 2 oring stock meteor bolt, valve, hammer, inception lightest spring, about half turn in.

After that i pulled the modified spring perch out and installed the attktx spring perch that came in the mail today. I was able to drop the pressure to 205 psi at 285 fps, everything else the same as above.

          Edit:
Swapping to one spring heavier dropped it to 198 psi and 285 fps, 1/2 turn in from flush.

Farting situation? Any rapid firing? When I was playing around with super low pressures quite a while ago those were where most of my issues arose. Funning sounding and inconsistent velocity when rapid firing (without A/T I don't use them).

Got my Lightning bolt finally, and played this weekend. With the Laz valve, Lightning bolt, 3D printed hammer, and the second lightest Inception spring, I was down to about 220-230 PSI, achieving a 270 +/- 10 fps(paint quality most likely).

So I ended up doing some other stuff to mine. after i separated the front from the back i removed the spring perch side and swapped it with an attktx spring perch and made a delrin spacer so that i dont have to worry about it moving when i remove my frame. When i played 2 weekends ago i didnt really think about my pressure much until i got home. I was shooting 285 at 171 psi. I have a few more things i would like to try just to see if it will go lower.

This is stock valve, stock hammer, stock bolt, ivg 1 turn in, inception 2nd to lightest spring. aka sidewinder short top.

Yep I certainly can. Will likely have to be after I get power to the machines after the move unless I have it to cut next week.

Interesting to see new pumps still being produced. Especially after over 10 years away. Good looking marker

For anyone interested, the 3D printed hammer has run about a case through it and shows no signs of wear. If anything fails it will be the threads for the cocking rod, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

think this would have any benefit when used w/ a laz or nova valve?

Brandon Yes, I started using this because I had heard so much about the Jenni Kraig hammer with a Lazarus valve, and Angry Antle never answered my emails about buying one.

I think with the balanced valve it's a good idea to use a lightened hammer and very light spring combo. I'm currently sitting between 205-220 PSI to achieve velocity, depending on paint.

New meteor sniper with reg will be for sale this week
