ok, So I have a nova reg I'm going to throw on to mine but I see an issue. The reg I have on there now has a port for a gauge and I have it set to about 225. however, I was not getting consistent results on velocity so I want to throw the nova on. Issue is, the nova has no port for gauge, so how do I tell what the reg is set at?

You make adjustments on your reg after taking chrono readings. Look up how to sweet spot reg on Autococker on YouTube

The pressure a marker is happiest at is going to be pretty different from marker to marker, even across the exact same model. You add in litteraly anything aftermarket, and I mean ANYTHING, and the pressure becomes the wild west. If you call up Chris & TJ at Nova, they'll tell you that even a single batch of "o" rings is going to vary by about 20% in actual measurements across the entire batch. It makes way more sense to tune your markers around the springs that are in it then around a specific pressure range. Go for the lowest possible spring tension to smooth out the overall operation, and then set the reg to whatever it needs to be at to hit velocity. Double check that there is no shoot down and that the reg can keep up, then go play once you are hitting field velocity consistently with no shoot down.

Myrkul "If you call up Chris & TJ at Nova, they'll tell you that even a single batch of "o" rings is going to vary by about 20% in actual measurements across the entire batch. " lol zero reputable companies have a 20% tolerance. Tolerances are 1%, and up to 5% if you are super cheap. Sounds like an excuse for improper machining or design. A standard like AS568 would be pointless if they do not follow the dimensions, shore hardness etc..

Just watched the above video- Thanks Docfire! Didn't realise they even had serial numbers. Even more shocked to see I had No. 2!
