What good quality 12-cup drip coffee maker would you suggest and are there any that are made in the USA?

-This may come as a surprise to you, but unlike my comic counterpart, I don't drink coffee. I prefer my caffeine cold and green. And basically by the time I've buried the burnt bean taste with enough sugar, cream and syrup... I might as well be drinking a soda anyway.

(And, it's worth noting, I've cut down considerably on my overall soda intake, if nothing else just for the sake of my teeth. )

I will say, though, that I have a cheap Keurig that I use to make the occasional cup of hot chocolate when there's a cold snap during the winter.

What is your favorite Mtn Dew? Do you stick to the original, or one of the other flavors?

-Easy, the original Green Death. I've tried a number of the others, some I've liked, but some are just nasty. And, most of the special flavors are only available locally in convenience stores- and besides the hassle, up here that means almost $4 a bottle. I get the 24 or 36 packs of regular cans at the supermarket- I've never calculated what the per-can cost is, but it's a whole lot less than four bucks each.

As far as I know, only one convenience store even has the specialty flavors- last I looked, I think it was Code Red and Livewire, and I think one of the black or purple ones. The convenience store I most often pass when doing my mail runs and the like, only has green and diet green. The local Taco Bell used to have Baja Blast and Livewire, but I think even those got dropped.

-I thought everyone knew about that one. The Automag is bolted to a custom rail that clamps to the Carbine's sight rail. The Automag sear simply extends down far enough that the rear corner of the linkage rod, trips it on the return stroke.

The only real trick to it is you need a little bit of material in the right place to help hold the linkage rod down (the Carbine's rear sight does that) and you carefully set the assembly, by simply sliding the adapter rail back and forth slightly on the sight rail, so that the 'Mag is tripped only at the absolute very end of the rearward travel of the hammer. Basically as the rear hammer bumper is being compressed.

You fire the Carbine, the Carbine fires the 'Mag.

If the 'Mag is too far forward, the motion of the hammer WILL damage the 'Mag on/off. Ask me how I know.

Oh, and a hopper-left 'Mag is almost required, to have the room for both loaders.

-Unfortunately, nothing of any significance.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned it earlier in this thread, but a big chunk of the reason I bought (or built) these CNCs in the first place, was to build those Levers. The problem with that is A, I needed- and still need- to learn how to use them properly, and B, I need the time and maybe a little spare funds to be able to spend on a project that involved.

I'm working on the first one, no idea when the second will roll around.

Oh, I am the wrong guy to be asking that.

I think the newest goggles I have are a set of olive Spectras, circa 2012. Replaced the lens a few years back with an NOS one I found on eBay.

These days, considering I haven't actually played since about '18, when the last local field closed down, I just wear them out of habit when testing a marker.

That said, yeah, I'm still a fan of visors, and honestly don't know why masks stopped coming with them. As for lens colors, for a while there (a... [ahem] number of years ago ) I had two Spectras, one with a smoke lens for bright sunny days, and the other with a regular clear lens. Had a buddy that swore on yellow lenses, but they were never my thing.

Doc, I know you made extended knobs for the phantom 12 gram drop-out changer, but the hangers are near impossible to find. What are the chances you would make a small run of complete hangers?

Doc, I seem to remember years ago you getting an Autococker body that looked like someone had gone after it with a cold chisel. IIRC you turned it into a "chipped ice block" body saving it from the scrap yard. Do you recall this and have any pictures? Some of us were discussing saved and resurrected markers and this instance came to mind and they did not remember this one. Any enlightenment would be appreciated.

-I'm assuming you meant "changers".

I guess I thought that EV had been making the Phantom stuff, but I admit I haven't looked to see what's available. I could certainly make a short run, but the drawback to a small run my lo-tech shop is they'd wind up on the expensive side.

That said, I'll add it to the list- maybe we can get a couple 007 owners to pitch in, too.

I can envision such a thing, and it might be fun trying to mill one- or probably better, model then CNC it.

-You can order a Vee-Twin any time you like. They're made by order, to order. Generally speaking, a complete body kit starts around $1,800, and I can do mech semi, pump, fullsize, halfblock, even a "twin Fastback" if you like. I can leave the feed necks off and drill and tap it for a pair of Phantom stick feeds, I can make the pump grips out of any material you want- wood, delrin, acrylic, etc.- and can either supply it as a DIY body kit (you anno and assemble) or assemble a complete gun either out of parts you supply or ones I source.
