I'll let you lot be guinea pigs and figure out getting them up to field velocity before I dabble. Please post resultsπ PK x Ragnastock π

if its 250 consistant out of the box most (nothing perfect) of the time would be a good thing
280 better but it is a pistol
you wont be "long balling" with one of these but more close battles/ last resort (like if me a havoc gunner).
latest video did not show them blowing balls up in the barrel..
still like to see more rounds in video to confirm this.
only disadvantage i see so far to add is the balls in the cylinder when in gun and holster carrying the spare are exposed.. can see some woodsball or counterfire cracking them

Iβm going to mess around with it stock before I tear it down see what valve they use and see if I canβt make it shoot closer to field speeds.
Who makes the best First strike tipx barrels? I plan on turning one down to fit. Removing the restrictor, self defense valve upgrade, adjustable valve mod to bring the fps down. I plan on focusing on FS round performance. They are a more robust round and more efficient the open breach design is going to make it a gas hog. Worst case I can HPA convert it run remote and bump input pressure as long as the valve will handle it.

My thoughts exactly. I want to shoot fs exclusively and make a fsr barrel work in it.
This is just gonna be a fun sidearm or troll shooter anyways.
You think a tipx barrel is the way to go? I was thinking q FSC barrel has more meat to work with, but I wasn't sure.
I kinda hope Williams the thirds tr50 adjusters work in these. Or some version of it will work.
Pretty excited for this janky shooter. Lol

I was watching videos of first strike rifled barrels, and they drop velocity by 20 fps so I wonder if you can simply pull the restrictor, qnd add the rifled barrel?
Adjustability is still a must, but Im thinking the rifled barrels will slow stuff down a lot.

I got mine. Put some known brittle ass paint in it and it shot 4 out of 5 and blew one up. I couldnt get my radarchron to read any of the shots but my eye chrono says it shoots 250 easily on a fresh 12ie.
A huge note. It cane with 3 recievers. One in the marker, and 2 in the bag. So you may not need to buy as many as many as you think.
It holed qnd points super well. Any K frame user will find it natural.
The barrel is floating and spring loaded. Not sure how turning a fsr barrel down will work, but barrel internal finish is better than expected.1 Photo

Ill admit. Getting that plug out sucks. I may cut a T handle down and epoxy it in there or something.3 Photos

I have a few of them for my 50 cal ones and they work well. Just got mine today (I really hate FedEx) but they seem to be hard on paint. This will have to be a FS only marker for me 100% especially if you want work it for more velocity. The spring barrel is an interesting concept. I wonder if it can be improved.

Spring barrel is necessary for the revolving cylinder. The spring keeps the barrel nose cone tight to the cylinder and moves in when changing cylinders. Without this nose cone pressing on the front face of the cylinder, the gun will fire the first 1 or 2 shots, but the weight of the balls will keep sliding the cylinder backwards during the firing cycle. I know this because someone filed the cone flat on one of the TR50's that I have for velocity reduction. After the second shot, the paw pushes the cylinder up/ rotates cylinder into position. As the hammer is starting back the paw releases. The cylinder rotates backward, and you fire the empty #2 hole. Also, Xemons' co2 knobs are awesome. I have them on all my umarex guns.

Yeah, thats likely where it was, in the transition to the barrel.
That being said. Ill likely shoot rounds. What would be q viable solution for future models? Have spring loaded sleeves in the cylinder itself? Then have a pusher but the cylinder sleeve up against the barrel as you pull the trigger? Or you could even have the valve port slide forward pushing the ball into the barrel then fire.
Either way. For 115. This thing is cool!

I put about 60 FS rounds threw mine and it shoots them well. Definitely good enough to use on field and get eliminations. Only thing I donβt like is toward the end of the 12g you get shoot down and itβs hard to vent to the leftover 12g to get a fresh one in with the piercing pin design. I might put the ASA adapter and run a bucket off the bottom. I would like to Try and make it an insta pierce. That would be cool. Maybe a CCI Bucket will fit in grip. Havenβt pulled it apart yet.

Ok, finally got a chance to test mine π₯³
Popped a fresh 12g in and here are the results:
- first shot with FSR: 230 to 250 fps
- first shot with round ball: 200 to 230 fps
The velocity remains pretty consistent until shot ~15 then start to really drop around ~20 or so ...
Got a few breaks, seam to be happening when the ball is small enough to slide forward into the cylinder ... Need to investigate further.
ββββββHere are some pictures.
Here is the "Umarex case":
here is the pistol with speed wheel and with a 9ci tank:

Detail of the speed wheel, it's the one I designed for the TR50, it's a perfect match for this one too:

I'm out of hpa, so I couldn't test that, but the balance is nice with the 9ci ....
But co2 tanks range from 650 to 950 psi in function of the temperature (in my experience it's more 8-900 when I have measured it tempered weather, and I've seen it go well above 1K in hot days ...).
Also made a remote adapter so need to try that next time I hit the field.
As for the speed wheel, I'll print a few and make a sale thread for them sometime next week π

Xemon. Sounds like you have a tr50 to compare.. any chance you'd open both pistols up qnd compare the valve assemblies? Im thinking the tr50 valve may possibly be the same and we already have an aftermarket.
