Turning cockers into spool valves! Watched the stream looks really cool. Now everyone's gonna be getting their bodies drilled out.

Wow, from the video, there’s a lot going. And I’m surprised it’s $49 for a complete valve. I think it’s a good value.

We all know somebody will eventually get one of these in a parts bed bin but be missing just one part and they will then make a want to buy ad for... Just the tip

I think most of us have been there... They say just the tip, but they always end up wanting it all... wait, what are we talking about...

There are a few things i wish Billy touched on.
What pressure does it shoot at and how does that compare to say the standard freeflow valve combo.
Is their a sound signature change?

That's a wide open question, seeing as the closing dynamics are no longer pressure-based.

I'm curious how it does in a pump. IVG flush, light hammer spring, adjust from the reg.

Also while this does sound like a cool valve and I actually want to put one in my pump I love how Billy is going on about how it's all standard size o-rings then goes on to list on 90 durometer Buna a u cup and something he doesn't even give a size for because it's specific to dye

Credit where it's due it does sound like two of those can be replaced with basically anything that's the same size I just ate when companies do something like this because they say yeah you can get that o-ring from us but then in 3 years when they lose interest in manufacturing it everybody's up a Creek

The valve seat is a 90 durometer 011, a common seal. The U-Cup is a 008 spec ( I've never come across a U-Cup that isn't 70 durometer, paintball or otherwise) and I believe the end seal is a 6x1mm. I'd need to verify that one.

          #9
I was taking notes during that section:

          d90-011 oring cupseal
front is ucup seal 008, but can be replaced with a 008
          111 bumper oring
rear oring is the proprietary 3 way oring for dye.

Angry will bore to 11/16, $55 + shipping for most bodies. He also said he has the valves in stock.

I will just post this here for some food for thought also. Looks similar to a morph valve.

The "idea" actually came from the Lurker Control Freak poppet, not the Morph. The Morph, while solid and a valve that I use in multiple markers, did not introduce any new concepts.

Is there a Canadian retailer for these? I'm bored and have a Empire Sniper that needs a valve. Would be nice if the websites said what the benefits were.

Good to know. I'd emailed them a few days ago and the guy thought it should have been sent out already and got a shipping notice today.

Even if there's not I'd be willing to forward one up to you if you're paying the shipping and whatnot

It is a Dye product so I will let others test it out. They lost my trust a while ago. NT10 never Again…

Current Dye shares very, very little with old Dye. Billy is no longer leading the design charge, thankfully.

As someone who's been *extremely* close to the DLS project since day one, it's not "extremely finicky." It suffered from a couple poor decisions made in the manufacturing and QC phases, which trickled down to suspect paint handling in a percentage of markers. The rear gate is also an issue. You'll be seeing a V2 bolt assembly released shortly that addresses the issues. In terms of spool valve markers and the shear ability to cycle under any condition, you won't do better than the DLS. No solenoid spool, only a couple dynamic seals and a ton of shift force = superb cycling reliability. The DLS also shares nothing with "old Dye."

I didn’t get a chance to watch the video, is it a standard 5/16” set screw that holds it in place? Might work well in one of my Ehms.
