Until these are well proven it's a no from me.

I have found lots of problems with balanced valve cockers in the past. When they are working good they feel great, but I have experimented with three and they all ended up not being satisfactory and gave trouble in various ways. Something like an ID or AKA valve is just so reliable at 11/16 and I don't like to sacrifice that.

Buuut... The video said that Buddy at FF has been testing them and is happy with them. So maybe they have done it right. I hope so but will remain skeptical until they have been experimented with extensively.

Agreed however I will admit I have no need for a new 11/16th valve right now. I am very interested in the results people get outside of FF/Dye testing these out.

This isn't an old unreliable design. This thing will work great.

Billy said a light spring hammer combo wouldn't need much force to open this valve.

Could that mean this valve might break some Low Pressure records for autocockers? Especially, when the dudes start getting their guns bored out for the larger size and volume?

Given the opening and closing dynamics, the pressure requirements will be based primarily on flow. It should be able to run quite low.

Low pressure by itself isn't necessarily a good thing. I'm much more interested in efficiency.

cfos00, you'll want to lighten up the mass/spring rate to optimize efficiency since the opening force is so light. The closing speed will only be aided by reducing the hammer mass/spring rate since the breech-sensing closing bias is a little laggy.

I wonder if FF will take their markers and offer a boring service and tune with it.

I hope not. Honestly I know guys are considering boring the lowertube, but there certainly is a risk involved. Risk of scratching anodizing, risk of breaking a tool, risk of breaking through the front frame screw hole if you’re not paying attention. I would rather see these go into custom projects than previously produced markers. Especially since the ano will be removed in the process.

So glad they used a bumper oring on this. Brass or aluminum 11/16 valves are just asking to get wrecked by the hammer.

bumpers could be added to any of those valves if you ask the right person.... Let me know If you need that.

i feel like this would be fun to stick in one of my resurrections. but... i am apprehensive about it the same way i was the morph valve. i just never feel like theres it going to be enough gain.. and you need to mess with these, a regular poppet valve.. you just.. dont

Morphs just had junk orings in my experience. Once the plasticizers went, it was game over until a rebuild. Then they were good for another 5 years, if you used good stuff.

This one is basically a soft-seated poppet, without nearly a much potential for trouble as the only radially loaded oring never leaves its bore.

Not sure what the deal is with that stem seal, though.

I agree - improved seals in a Morph make it very reliable. I run an X-Ring on the on the front and cast urethane on the rear.

Did you find a Canadian source? Might be worth grabbing one for tinkering with, got a couple 11/16" projects in mind that could use a LP valve.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

          You mean they haven’t been?
I haven’t seen a plain Sport model under $80 for a long time now. And I’ve seen plenty of those for over $100, which I refuse to pay despite wanting one. Comp & Pro models are over $200, which is already high.

EDIT: I guess I’m skeptical of how much those will go up. And I certainly don’t want to see them go any higher than they are now.

Balanced poppets are nothing new. The dye Valve looks incredibly similar to the gen 4 intimidator balance valve and is a true poppet, whereas the morph is actually a balanced spool.

Makes more sense that it'd be from Lurker's balanced poppet design anyways since they collabed on the DLS as well.

I'm excited to see reports from the field on this one. I just wish they would've also done a 9/16 since there are so many more of those bodies in the wild.

Now to figure out how to slam on in a b2k...

Toestr that could be fixed with a modified ram and bolt, no? I have a spare b2k (non-pds) that I'd be willing to sacrifice to the paintball gods.

I can confirm you can play with these in other markers - be prudent to compare the critical dimensions, as already mentioned. I've run a Lazarus in an 06 Cyborg and a Deception.
