Grease it initially and leave it alone. This is a highly reliable design.

Given the opening and closing dynamics, the pressure requirements will be based primarily on flow. It should be able to run quite low.

Current Dye shares very, very little with old Dye. Billy is no longer leading the design charge, thankfully.

The valve seat is a 90 durometer 011, a common seal. The U-Cup is a 008 spec ( I've never come across a U-Cup that isn't 70 durometer, paintball or otherwise) and I believe the end seal is a 6x1mm. I'd need to verify that one.

That's a wide open question, seeing as the closing dynamics are no longer pressure-based.

Looked a little more like a balanced Timmy valve to me, but yes... very morph- like, too.
